Driftwood Cottage is a nod to imagination, play, and the magic…
of making something beautiful with what nature gives you. Originally inspired by the childhood memory of building forts out of driftwood on the beach of Pajaro Dunes in Northern California, this project is a labor of love. It’s rooted in the simple joy of creating something from the heart and is made possible by the endless support of friends and family.
The aim is to make wines with energy, soul, and a sense of place. Each bottle reflects a modern Californian take on classical styles. You’ll find elegant renditions of what these traditions can become when grown in Californian soil. With each sip, you’re getting to know the land, the season, and a piece of me.
At the core is a commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention. The grapes come from unique vineyard sites farmed with intention and respect for the earth. These are special places with stories of their own, and the sole purpose of winemaking is to allow them to speak clearly.
In the cellar, the goal is transparency. That means native fermentations, low sulfur, no unnecessary manipulations, just thoughtful stewardship. The belief is that good wine doesn’t need a heavy hand. It needs patience, integrity, and a little bit of letting go.
